The Keto Diet was the key to my weight loss success
I am proud to say I’ve lost 51 lbs and have kept it off for over a year. And I did it partially by following the Keto Diet, and partially by using enhanced weight loss products that kept me full, reduced my sugar cravings, and blasted my metabolism and energy levels (I sell these products too - ask me about them!)
Below is a list of 15 of my favorite Keto recipes I fix most often. They are extremely tasty, easy to fix (I’m not gonna spend hours in the kitchen after a long work day), and will make you feel like you’re just eating regular food; NOT diet food.
Breakfast on Keto was my biggest challenge. I’m not hungry for savory foods for breakfast, so I struggled for awhile before I stumbled onto these gems. These recipes really kept me full until lunchtime.
Vanilla mug cake. I put fresh raspberries on top after it’s cooked instead of frozen ones before it’s cooked. I also top it with the canned spray whipped topping (NOT Cool Whip but the kind near the milk aisle - it’s 100% whipping cream which is allowed on Keto). I eat this for breakfast most days even though it’s meant to be a dessert.
Psyllium Husk Pancakes. These are so much better than you think they’re going to be! This may gross you out - but I buy regular Metamucil; if you read the ingredients it is 100% psyllium husks. I also use sugar-free syrup on top of it. Keeps me full for hours.
These are regular meal staples in our house. Add the cheesy breadsticks below and a side of vegetables (I always oven roast my veggies) and you’re set for a yummy meal.
Keto Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks (4 Ingredients). So yummy, so fast, and such a great accompaniment to a meal, or a great appetizer which can be dunked in guacamole, salsa, or a dip of your choice.
Taco pie. Very filling and will be popular with family and friends who aren’t doing Keto.
Patty Melts. Onion has quite a few carbs but just a few ain’t gonna kill your daily carb count.
Big Mac bites. I always make these on Friday nights because they taste like a celebratory treat of fast food which I used to LOVE.
White Chicken Chili. We don’t like chunks of chicken, so I use shredded chicken. Easiest way: put chicken breasts in your crockpot with a bit of chicken broth on low for 8 hours while I’m at work. Then, right there in the crockpot, I use my electric beater to shred the chicken - takes about 20-30 seconds to shred it that way!
Baked Four Cheese Garlic Spaghetti Squash. I had never cooked spaghetti squash before, so I put off making this recipe for awhile because I was intimidated. It turned out to be so much easier and flavorful than I could have imagined.
Chicken Taco Casserole. I use shredded chicken in this, prepared like I described above in the White Chicken Chili.
I had a powerful sweet tooth before Keto. I mean, POWERFUL. These desserts more than helped me with that. And they’re easy and fast to make - ain’t nobody got time at night after work to make a bazillion-recipe dessert.
My favorite dessert however is the Mug Cake (listed in the Breakfast section.). My second favorite is the Strawberry Pretzel-less Dessert below. But honestly they’re all pretty damn delicious.
These different recipes call for all types of artificial sweetener. My absolute favorite sugar substitute is Wheylow.
Cheesecake. I always cook together a few raspberries with Wheylow and a bit of water; 5 minutes or so in a saucepan on medium. Makes a great topping.
Pecan pralines. Tastes like the real thing. Don't skip the step for roasting your pecans - they just won't taste the same.
Brownies. I like these a lot. Can’t have regular flour on Keto so your choices are almond flour and coconut flour. I personally don’t like the texture of most almond flours, but coconut flour is fluffy and very flavorful - that’s what is used in this recipe.
Homemade Ranch Dressing. This is one of my favorite recipes of all time. I have never actually put it on a salad; I use it to dip fresh vegetables in it like broccoli, sugar snap peas, or raw zucchini.
